Key part

I’ve got a Kärcher 7.85 which cost me a new fuse every time I released the grip on the handle. Nothing to do with the capacitor but everything with the outworn excess current unloader. It’s a lot of work getting to it and prying it out but it’s all done now and the Kärcher works as if new! Thanks to great parts from ransomspares.

All genuine Karcher parts

Sticking spill valves, unloader valved are a common fault with the karcher aluminium pumps fitted to the older K and some HD 5 series machines. This type also contains the safety valve for this model K7.85 and opens if the pressure is to high to protect the motor. Pressurepoint UK

How do I remove old excess current switch ?.it's very tight doesn't want to move can I test this switch in situ?.

Hi, You need to make sure you remove the retaining pin first, then you can usually pry the current unloader out with a screwdriver in behind the spring.

Hi, there is usually a pin in front of this holding it in the machine. I'd recommend checking Youtube for a video on how to replace this to get a better understanding of what would need to be done.
