Just the job
Great kit and solves the problem of a noisy dryer due to a worn drum bearing. On paper a daunting job but easily within the capabilities of a handy person. Takes longer to get the drum out than to fit the kit. SAFETY FIRST....switch off electrics before starting work and watch out for sharp edges within the machine. Take the opportunity to hoover out all the fluff from the inside. Good luck

Great spare
Once you get the machine apart and drill out the original riveted drum shaft this was easy to fit. Line it up with the holes, secure with the new nuts and bolts, install the bearing washer that the drum shift fits it, put the machine back together and don't forget to use the new securing pin to hold it on the bearing washer. Job done, easy enough repair once you work it all out but expect a few cuts to your hands as the metal of the machine is very unforgiving on your hands!! Certainly recommend anyone using this to save buying a new machine, you don't need experience to do this.

Very Impressed!
When the shaft broke I was expecting to have to replace the tumble drier. Found this kit and the instructions online so I thought I would give it a go. When it arrived I was surprised to find it included the fitting instructions so I wouldn't have to look these up again online. It was easy to fit and quickly got the tumble drier working again. The hardest part was refitting the belt!

Easy to fit once you've taken the drum off, but go slowly, take notes and photos if necessary and keep track of all the screws and where they go. The hardest part of this job was thinking about what needed to be done and worrying whether other components like the drum pads needed changing and what size they were. That wasn't necessary in the end. This part saved me a new dryer. It now purrs like a kitten - somewhat different to the sound of a beating drum on a galley ship until it failed completely. I used a small amount of copper grease on the bearing and in a couple of years I'll simply remove the plastic cover and apply more. This is a simple job, and should extend its life. Apart from looking for missing screws, the hardest part of this job for me was refitting the drum belt onto the motor, but I got there in the end, with my own improvised method.

drum bearing
product arrived on time well made easy instructions to follow for fitting after I fitted the bearing and new belt and refitted all sides and top and ran the dryer, the drum did spin but was still slipping so removed the top slackened off all the side plate pins on both sides then ran the dryer the drum spun ok so will still spinning tightened all pins up and refitted the top worked perfectly

Did the job
Just put a small grinding wheel into a cordless drill to remove the existing rivets. Then screw on the replacement part.

Easy to Fit
Followed the instruction as it states and installed in record time. Drilled out the 6 rivets and bolted in the new shaft. I did exactly as it asked and the tumble dryer was operational within the hour.
