Switch 8A 250V
My Flymo packed up and after checking cable, fuse and plug nearly purchased another lawn mower. Decided to do an internet search and came across Ransom Spares. After watching the video on my Flymo make it became apparent that the switch and capacitor needed changing. So purchased the switch as the video recommended and followed the instructions. What a result : Saved myself over one hundred pounds by not having to buy a new lawn mower.

Saved the mower with this product
Ordering was very easy, part delivered within the timescales quoted. Part is fairly easy to fit providing you are familiar with electrical connections and awareness of electrical safety. The spring loaded mains connections can be removed by the insertion of a small jewellers screwdriver.

Great company excellent service
The switchgear on the handle of my flymo needed to be replaced, and the excellence of the service received cannot be beaten. The easy to follow video meant I was able to replace all the faulty parts for only £20 which saved me the cost of a new mower at around £150. Will always use this company for any further spare parts I might need in the future !

Great website
Bought this switch, arrived promptly and well packaged. Followed the on-line video and changed it very easily. Saved the cost of a new lawnmower. Highly recommend the website.

Excellent customer service
I bought a replacement on-off switch for my lawn mower. There's not a lot to say about that. It was reasonably priced, easy to fit and it brought my dead mower back to life. Ransom's were great, though. I received an email a couple of minutes after placing my order saying it had been dispatched. My switch arrived two days later, as promised, and it was well wrapped. Splendid customer service.

New Life to my Flymo
My Flymo lawnmower failed to start so I tested the switch. It was kaput. I watched the Ransom's video on Youtube and ordered the switch and capacitor. The order came very quickly. Following the video instructions I replaced the switch and capacitor in about 15 minutes. Brilliant. Have used it four times since and have had no problems.

Cheap and easy

8a 250v switch review
The part was good quality. The only negative was that it took quite a long time to be delivered. It was, however, well packaged. It was quite easy to fit,and in conjunction with fitting a new capacitor, my lawnmower is now working again. Much cheaper than buying a new lawnmower!
