Untested product
Easy to fit but difficult to remove part it was replacing. Can only assume that the part is OK as bought it thinking that the old one was reason why mower wasn't working - unfortunately it isn't so still have mower that doesn't work.
Helpful video
The switch was just what I needed and the accompanying video on the website meant I fitted it with no fuss as it was explained how to disconnect the leads easily. Whole job took about 20 mins from collecting my tools to using the mower.
Great product and service.
My son replaced the on/off switch and the capacitor on my flymo in what seemed like a few minutes. It now works perfectly Thank you Ransomespares.co.uk for your very prompt and efficient service.
Flymo on/off switch
Great product easy to fit, mower now works perfect. Many thanks for a fast delivery.
Fine does the job, good price
Hey its a switch for a lawnmower, hard to get excited. It does the job fine, was easy to fit and cheaper than the Flymo part. Arrived quickly and transaction was easy. Thats it- -its only a switch !
A really great product
Fast delivery and quick to fit, my mower was soon back working.
great replacement part
Great service and the video tutorials are great Would strongly advise this company for spares.
Does the job!
Easy to change and install, good video online too with instructions. Replacing this part on my mower meant it worked like new! Previously, it wouldn't start or was very temperamental. Thank you. Bit expensive for a bit of plastic and metal but best solution so can't complain
Does the job and is easy to fit
Not a lot to say other than it does what it says on the tin and is simple to fit.
Decent product .
Prompt delivery. Part easy to fit especially if you view their video instructions on website. My Flymo is now working as good as new and hopefully now has a few more years left in it. Overall, very pleased and would use again. Also slightly cheaper than Flymo.
Good product and easy to fit, thanks
Thanks for quick and professional service. Parts fit perfectly, thanks for very usefull video manual.
Just a little switch
Sourcing this replacement switch online at Ransom Spares was just what I needed. An approved part and sold at a reasonable price. Ransom's online video clip showing the replacement procedure was really helpful and easy to follow. Having seen that the burnt out switch had almost certainly damaged the capacity as well it made sense to replace the two together. Delivery was swift and following the video guidance the mower was soon back in action. Well done to everyone!
Good sturdy replacement
My flymo easi glide 300v started playing up and wouldn't fire up sometimes when pressing the button. One time when emptying the grass, I went back and tried numerous times but it appeared to have died completely. I managed to circuit test both wires (from mains, and too motor) and both were fine. The brushes on the motor seemed ok too. So i ordered a new switch from Ransom Spares. Replacement required some torx head screwdrivers, and a very small screw driver to hold open the one way connectors (for the cable to the motor, and the capacitor). I reused the existing capacitor, replaced the switch, and reattached all the casing. Mower been working ever since. The switch felt sturdy, but i guess i will only know its durability for sure, if/when it stops working. I looked at a replacement switch from the Flymo site and you could get a brand new lawnmower for the same price, so happy i found RandomSpares for a cost effective replacement.
Supplied Quickly Easy to Fit
Part arrived quickly and having seen how to replace the part on their website prior to it arriving, it was fitted in a few minutes. Do break the old switch first to remove the wires that push in. then they go easily into the new switch with the soldered ends still intact. Flymo lawn mower back in action quickly and on the cheap.
Flymo switch - easy peasy
Dead easy 15 minute job - anyone could tackle this one (make sure all is plugged out first - online video was a help too - mower up and going in no time. Only caveat is you will need a TORX screwdriver (i had a set handy) - other than that - GO FOR IT!
