The solution to a noisey extractor fan, The old impeller had started to disintegrate bought this one easy fitted remember the nut is a left hand thread, slotted the new one in put the retaining nut back on and hey presto, extractor hood working again

Good product, easy to fit.
I bought this for a Baumatic BT6 3GL although this is for the slightly older version and you are supposed to need to buy the complete motor unit. With a little care it fits perfectly and is working well at a fraction of the price. Highly recommend Ransoms, the price was good, delivery was on time and the item well packed.

Even though my model didn't come up in the search list, I took a chance and ordered it for my cooker hood. When I asked for help they recommended buying a complete motor which is a joke, as a complete new cooker hood unit is only a tenner more. Sometimes you have to take a chance! It is a fiddle to fit the new part. If you are not confident with electrics then give it a miss as the unit the leads connect to are daunting at first sight. Note that the nut that holds it on is a left hand thread.

Does the job!
Perfect way to save a lot of money and get your extractor working good as new! The only issue is fitting the part. Baumatic have made it difficult - you need two pairs of hands and need to break the old impeller to get it off. Tip: nut is anti clockwise to loosen and you need to break the old impeller to get a hold on the spindle otherwise the nut etc just keeps spinning.

Correct part although not listed for my extractor
The hard part is getting the old impeller off if it spins on the motor shaft. Butchery required. Reassembly easy. Not listed for BWT9 3GL but is near enough the correct part provided you use a washer to take up the slight difference in length of the unthreaded shaft.

Excellent replacement
Bought on hope it would fit my model BT6.3BGL which it does soundly. Fit myself as not much to it and been working now for 3 weeks with no problems. If this lasts another 2 years like the manufacturers one then I'm well happy.

Baumatic hood impeller
Have previously purchased a new cooker hood, when the fan became very noisy then stopped working. A replacement fan was far more expensive than a complete new unit. One year later the fan became noisy and then stopped working. Read a blog on a website and decided to replace the impeller only. What a difference, in sound and price, infact a tenth of a new unit. Many thanks to Ransom spares.
