The part was an exact match for the one it replaced. I fitted the fan with no problems after watching a video online. Oven is back working a treat! Delivery was prompt thanks ransom spares!

Replacement oven fan
Excellent item. Easy to fit. Need to mention that screwthread for fan is a left hand thread (i.e goes opposite way to norrmal thread) when dismantling.

Oven Fan Motor
Easy replacement for original. Only difference is motor connections are at the side i.e. 90 degrees different from original. This does not affect installation. Very satisfied.

DISAPPOINTED PARTS BUT EASY TO FIT
Initially, annoyed having paid for fast delivery, item arrived 2 days late. Ransom customer services were efficient and obliging with postal refund. On the day of fitting the fan motor, the fan continually made a clicking noise against the front guard panel in the inner part of the oven.. On inspection I found the new fan blade to be too big when compared to the original. If I'd have discarded the old fan blade away I would not have completed the job. Consequently , I have a new replenished fan motor with an old fan blade still fit for purpose. One that isn't too big and does not come into contact with the guard plate inside the oven - as did the new part which I still have. Hopefully, Ransom will replenish this part after reading this review. Having done the job I would still use Ransom again despite my experience given the promptness of delivery refund to m account. Website really easy to find the correct part and had a video to show how to fit it The part arrived promptly and was perfect and easy to fit My oven is now working perfectly for £29.50 instead of the £100 I was quoted to repair

Fan-tastic

Good Product, fitting good
Bought this to replace my fan on a Hotpoint BU oven. By using a You Tube video I took it to bits and replaced it fine - the size and screw locations were exactly the same. The only issue i had was the electrical connections were different - I basically had to take a leap of faith with where the live and neutral went - fortunately that worked fine! 2 weeks later and working better than ever so happy with the part and the process.
