Tumble dryer belt

Ordered a new tumble dryer belt from this site because site looked professional. On another site it only gave me a choice of one belt but on this site I found out there were two belts and by using my model number I was sorted. The service was spot on belt arrived next day easy to fit and no more wet cloths

Drive Belt

Belt delivered reasonably fast, good quality for price, not the cheapest or most expensive. Ransom recommended the belt crossed checked M/C No, fitted perfectly after positioning belt in front of the idle/ tensioning pulley instead of behind.

John Lewis Tumble dryer

Like list, i followed a few youtubes before buying this part and seemed fairly straight forward Part delivered and set about fitting The machine drum did remove as it had the condensng water tank in the way. The rear drum pin also has a sensor attached to it which was scary to start with. To get the belt around the motor, the fan cover needs removing and thats the best place to start Otherwise much money saved!!! Thanks RS

Good product, Fitting a bit different from demo video, some snags. Pleased I did it.

The belt arrived quickly and appears to be of good quality - if appearance is helpful in judging this. I'd watched the admittedly generic video, but found my dryer somewhat different. Access to the drum was more complicated, the pulley arrangement was very different, and worst of all, the spring would hop completely off of its securing tab. But I am used to playing with machines, and each challenge was fairly brief. Since I'd seen from the video that the dryer cage had to come out, and that the sides of the dryer had to be freed from the back, I was well prepared for what needed to be done. The spring was hooked on a strange tab that had a ramp on it - a sort of set-up for it flying off. The solution I found for the spying was to drill a hole in the frame of the motor and hook the "bent back" end of the stretched spring through that hole. I made the hole large enough to give the spring end a bit of free play so that as the spring moved with the movement of the belt it was not constantly being bent/flexed. But I did not want the hole too large to avoid weakening the metal tab. Also, it is important to drill the hole in such a way that there is a lot of metal between the hole and the edge of the metal, since the frame is aluminum, not steel, and strength is an issue. In my dryer the spring exerted a fair amount of force on the tab. I suspect that the spring issue is not a common one, and apart from that, I would have been done in 30 minutes. While the drum was out, I did take the opportunity to sand and smooth several corroded areas on the drum that rode on sliding surfaces - that resulted in a much quieter machine - and I put some graphite lubricant on the rear bearing surface as I reassembled it.

Great product, not so easy to fit

Belt as described, works perfectly but not an easy piece to fit (obviously not the fault of the belt). Took about 45 minutes to fit, a little fiddly getting it in place but once placed has been working perfectly so no complains.

TUMBLE DRYER BELT 1975H7

I have used Ronsom spares before so I look at them for this part, not only did they have the part but they also give me some useful information how to put the belt on my Tumble dryer. I have also told some of my friends that if they need something for any of they appliances to get in touch with Ronsom spares.
