Great replacement, make sure you leave plenty of time to fit
Replaced a mouldy door seal with this and it fits perfectly. Doesn’t come with instructions so had to go to YouTube to find out how to do the job. It helps to have someone on hand to help with the heavy lifting (to unscrew bolts at bottom of washing machine when taking front off and refitting) and when trying to get the final clamp on.

Has to be the proper one!
I’ve replaced the washing machine seal previously and used the replica part, but it leaked and only lasted 18months. This one, albeit nearly 3 times the price, it is a much better fit, and have had zero leaks. A little knowledge of how to access the washing machine is useful, the models differ ever so slightly, but the video guide is very good. Two replacement securing bands supplied, front band is a little stubborn, but managed to secure it quickly enough. Worth the extra ££

Correct one for my machine
Easy to follow instruction given on website, just had to do it slightly different for my machine. Had all the parts needed and machine is working great now and no leaks anymore. Great service and fast delivery. Video was very good and explained well, nice pace etc and no distractions whilst watching the instructor.

The part is fine
Genuine replacement that fitted fine. Getting the retaining spring back on was not easy! Ransom is an appropriate name - expensive but does what it says on the tin.

Tricky to fit, but got there in the end
The video didn't cover my particular machine so I had to work it out on the day. There was no mention of the soap dispenser connection which I found odd. This actually helped in the re-fitting as it located the seal in the right place and kept it there whilst I wrestled with the seal. The video advised me to remove the counterweight to gain better access. This was not possible as it was glued on rather than bolted on, also the fixing screws for the front cover were not underneath but hidden behind the lower part of the machine. I had to use some force to remove this but eventually it sprang off. I didn't use one of the retaining rings supplied but reused the spring loaded version, which was easier to fit using long nosed pliers to expand the spring. Whilst doing this I discovered that the filter would not turn and it turned out to be jammed by a screw (DIY!) that had been left in a pocket. I managed to remove the pump hoses and free off the filter, so that was 2 jobs in one go! A fiddly and frustrating job but quite a saving on a call out fee. No leaks so far.

Exact replacement part, good product.
Fitting this to a Bosch Logixx 8 was a bit more complicated than the various online videos make you believe. I would recommend that when you take the original broken seal off, you practice refitting this to get a feel for it before you have a go with your new seal. It took about 1 hr to fit and reassemble the machine and test. All good and saved me about £90 call out!

good product easy enough to fit if you are experienced in diy
Fitted door seal in about 1.5 hours, bit fiddly to fit lip in gap between drum and concrete weights but not too bad, small fingers needed perhaps, fiiting the final steel band is tricky and in the end I smeared edge of seal with washing up liquid and it just slipped on while I streched the spring, take care not to damage the rubber with tools!

Fitted perfectly but perseverance needed.
Delivery was efficient. Product is expensive considering what it is made of. Not easy to fit. Fortunately my partner found a way of doing it after many unsuccessful attempts. He used a clamp to keep the spring open until it was in the right place and then released it. The machine is now watertight. No pools of water on the floor. Would use Ranson Spares again.
