General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your washing machine.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
This is a genuine door seal for your washer door.
Keeps water, detergent, and suds safely inside your washing machine, right where they belong. It also softens the door close, cutting down on noise and stopping metal parts from knocking together.
If you’ve spotted leaks, rust marks, or strange noises mid-cycle, your current seal might be worn out. Swap it with this one to get things running smoothly again.
Check our DIY video below on how to fit a new one.
This door seal for your washing machine is from Bosch. It also fits Balay, Constructa, Cylinda, Koenic, Lord, Neff, Pitsos, Profilo, Schulthess, Sharp, Siemens, Smeg, and Viva models.

Had a small leak from our Bosch washing machine due a chunk of the seal being missing. Found & ordered the seal from Ransom Spares. There were a few other places I could’ve got it from & Ransom wasn’t the cheapest but it was the best match in terms of washing machine model number. I didn’t pay for the fast service so took 2 to 3 days to arrive & then had to wait for the weekend to fit it so along time to wait for a non-leaking washer. Seal was well packed & looked the genuine article. I watched a video on YouTube from a “Appliance Fault” which was really good to follow. Takes quite a while but very simple & straightforward. Big tip is to buy a pick hook for the fitting of the last spring retainer, I couldn’t do it without it. Fixed the problem & now works perfectly. Saved me a load of money not having to get a repair man out.
First class on all fronts. Will use again for sure
Bought to replace old seal which was very mouldy. Video on website helpful guide. Taking off the seal was not too difficult but required a little common sense in dismantling the front cover and control panel. The real challenge was refitting the two retaining wires. Two people helps and two sets of pliers including some thin nosed pliers. Anyway so far so good. Suggest taking photos while dismantling as a guide.
Replaced a mouldy door seal with this and it fits perfectly. Doesn’t come with instructions so had to go to YouTube to find out how to do the job. It helps to have someone on hand to help with the heavy lifting (to unscrew bolts at bottom of washing machine when taking front off and refitting) and when trying to get the final clamp on.
Very easy to install with all of the new parts. Fit our old washing machine seamlessly
