No need for an electrician to fit this.
Delivery of the item was good although in the Highlands delivery always takes longer than for the south. You don't require an electrician to fit this. Any competent person can do it. DON'T FORGET to switch off/remove the main fuse though and then disconnect the supply! Ransom's video shows the method for fan replacement. A screwdriver is required to remove the oven backplate and a spanner for the fan nut. The fan motor itself just pushes into place but do remember to push the locking tab back into place at the end. Summary - Good value and home do-able!

Whenever an appliance in your home goes down, it always seems expensive to find a reliable person who is available to sort your problem out. You then generally have take time off work which can be a added expense. By using Ransom Spare web site , I was able to identify the part I needed and more importantly watch a video on how to install it. This showed me how simple it was to fit and gave me the confidence to do a DIY job and save myself probably in the region of £80.00.

Motor for fan did the trick
Motor was simple enough to install. Arrived securely wrapped and quite quick, even overseas. Works great thanks.

Good product
Watched the ransomes video of how to fit a fan motor just to confirm my thoughts...bought the factory original which was a good idea as a universal part would have been a difficult fit ( cutting and drilling). Now up and running. The product was as stated and the ransomes site was easy to navigate especially where you can use the model and product number of your appliance which gives the confidence that the part is the right one. Will use Ransomes again...good experience.
