This is a genuine drain pump for your dishwasher.
The drain pump is the part that removes the wastewater in the dishwasher after every wash cycle. It activates automatically during the draining phase to pump out wastewater.
That wastewater is then released to the plumbing system through the pump and the drain hose so only clean water enters the dishwasher and thoroughly washes the dishes.

Genuine part
Part came quickly and I was pleased to see it was a genuine spare part for my machine. Investigation and determining which part it is that is not working is the hard part - but once I had established this it was relativly easy to replace the faulty part. Only downside is the cost which at £50 (for one small part) is about 15% of the cost to replace the whole machine so you have to weigh it up whether its worth replacing.
