Fight back against throw-away society!
I was dismayed to find that in order to replace the bearings in my washing machine, I needed to replace the whole drum, as the manufacturer (like most these days) chose to use welded plastic rather than screws/bolts, making dismantling impossible. However, Ransom's had by far the keenest price available for the complete unit. Delivery was quick and it still worked out cheaper than a new machine, so I'm a happy customer. Not a job for the faint-hearted, but pretty straightforward for a reasonably practical person with a few tools, and it's a satisfying way to lower that carbon footprint!
