Bosch Bearing Kit
Good quality kit. Instructions not the best and had to resort to you tube for exact guidance on how to disassemble the drum. Plastic clips have to be broken off and replaced with supplied screws so fitting is a little complicated and needs caution.

Everything required to replace bearings
Although it's not a simple job, I replaced the drum and bearings on my Bosch machine. When separating the outer drum the exisiting plastic clips have to be broken off. When reassembling, the screws provided with this kit are used in addition to the existing ones, in the unused holes, to ensure a good seal. Tightening opposite screws together helps to give an even seal too. I also added some silicone sealant to the new outer drum seal before fitting. With care, tapping out and refitting the bearings was fairly straightforward, using a hammer and screwdriver/cold chisel. The end result was a working, quiet machine with no leaks!

Quality product, big job to fit
Replaced bearings on Bosch washing machine. Str*p down and beaning replacement probably took about 5 hours. Cleaning drum, soap tray and element a lot longer . . . This is a big Job, don't be fooled, you will be str*pping down the machine just about as much as you can. Luckily there was a YouTube video featuring this repair on a very similar Bosch model to the one that I was working on. I would not say it is a particularly difficult job, just time consuming and requiring patience and a reasonable amount of space to work in, and of course the tools to the job. The most time consuming part was cleaning the drum spider and heating element, which are things that should be done when the machine is in such a state of disassembly. A few days in post-repair, and a lot of catch-up washes later, the machine is working well - water tight and quiet as the day we first bought the machine. So all in all worth the trouble. Let's just hope that the repair stands the test of time.

Excellent item
Very time consuming to fit (no fault of the parts, just the job itself). Took me, a novice, around 5hrs to complete the whole job. If like me you needed to cut the tabs off the tub, I would recommend a Dremel with a cutting blade to make this job much easier than using a pair of pliers as suggested. Time required aside, good kit with all the extras required including extra screws to hold the tub together.

Quality Part
I was initially concerned when I ordered this bearing that it might not fit my washing machine as I had been informed by another spares website that a replacement was not available. However, a guy at ransomspares assured we that it was compatible and I am pleased to say everything went to plan and my 15 year old Bosch washing machine is now running as well as it did when it was new! I would definitely recommend, but don't underestimate the work involved. Replacing the bearings themselves was not too bad and took less than an hour. These are clearly quality parts. However, the total job, including cleaning and descaling took me about 12 hours. As this was the first time I have done this, I was deliberately taking my time and could probably do in half the time now. If you have the space, patience, and a reasonable level of skill at dismantling (and reassembling!) things then I would certainly recommended. Not only has this saved me about £300 compared with buying the equivalent machine, I have not had to thow away something where over 90% of the components are working fine - far more sustainable!

Not for the feint hearted
Machine is working well again and although I have given 5 stars for ease of fitting that is not quite correct. However that is not the fault of the supplier or the part; it is simply a big job which needs lots of space and patience. You tube and a camera phone are an essential pre requisite and a lot of coffee.. Make very simple notes about the order you did things then make sure you refollow and check everything twice when you re-make the connections.
