Genuine part
I believe this to be a genuine part as it had Husqvarna printed on it. Instructions were precise and part was easy to fit.

Good replacement, good quality
Bought this to replace the broken brake mechanism on my chainsaw (brake spring had worn through). It arrived quickly, was the best price I could find and appears to be as good a quality as the original - time will tell but it looks made to last. It was easy to fit - it’s good that the brake unit is a module otherwise it would have been a lot more tricky! Doesn’t come with screws but not needed if you have your old ones. Great value and quality product and would happily buy again if needed.

Operating a chainsaw without a functioning chain brake is dangerous, but this part is very easy to fit, good value and the saw is safe to use again!

Excellent service and exactly what I needed
I found this part with a couple of clicks on the website, it was posted email to France, and it arrived in just a couple of days. Just what I needed and with the enclosed instructions, it was easy to fit. I've used Ransom Spares before and I'll certainly use them again.

Great product but poor customer enquiry service
The chain brake was without question good value for money and easy to fit with excellent delivery. What let the side down was the lack of any response to two emails to you asking for some detail about its suitability. In the end I took the gamble and bought it not knowing whether I was buying the right thing.

very easy to fit, and works perfectly. Was originally hoping to only replace the bit of metal that grips the clutch drum, but when I discovered how difficult it was to get the spring back in position, I was glad to get this all in one part.
