So easy to fit - no tools required. Go for the 25W if you can.
Q: How many elderly parents does it take to change a light bulb? A: Don't worry, dear, I'll just sit here in the dark. Yes, I changed the bulb in my elderly mother's oven. I knew what to do because I made the same repair to my own oven a few months ago. No tools were needed: turn off the power, let it cool down, unscrew the glass cover and unscrew the old bulb. Reassemble in reverse. The glass cover in most german ovens is on a slight angle in the corner of the oven so you might need to use a torch or a smartphone to take a close look before you screw it all back in. There is a 25W version which will allow you to see your baking better. I've tried both (same fitting).

My third hand range cooker had no oven bulb until I fitted this one. Loved watching my Christmas cake bake on Sunday afternoon. Mince pies this weekend. Thank you!

great product, exactly what I was looking for

The right bulb
In the past I had been buying replacement bulbs for my Creda oven elsewhere. They never lasted long and I noticed that the bulb I now have from Ransoms has a smaller glass envelope and looks like this might be the proper one for the job. Easily fitted and there is now a bigger space between the bulb and the glass outer. Fingers crossed!

good part, poor delivery
Part was as ordered and a good price. Web shop showed it as in stock but it was not despatched until 8 days after i placed the order. I sent an email after 5 days asking where it was. It took 2 days to get the reply " it will be despatched in the next 1-2 days". No explanation as to why a stock item took more than a week to be despatched, I really am disappointed with the service.

As simple as changing a light bulb
As simple as changing a light bulb? Well actually it wasn't but that was more to do with the make of oven. Once I managed to access it though, it really was that simple. My only worry was the bulb was approx 50% smaller than the one that came off but it had the same screw cap so installed fine and lighting level in the oven is good too.
