Hotpoint Washing Machine 100N Drum Shock Absorber Kit
1. Remove existing drum shock absorber leg
You'll need to access the bottom of the washing machine on this model. Carefully lay the machine on its side, ideally on a towel to soak up any water and prevent scratches. Ask another person for help if needed.
Remove the nut of the shock absorber leg or legs that need replacing.
There’s a tab holding the pin in place (circled orange), gently push that in for the pin to slide out. If your washing machine is fairly new, the plastic pin might be tight and a pair of long nose pliers will do the trick whilst gently tapping on top of the pin.
You’ll then be able to remove the leg.
Repeat the same process on the other leg if it also needs replacing.
2. Install new sock absorber leg
To fit the new shock absorber leg or legs, attach them back to the drum as shown and slide the pin up and back into place - make sure the leg is secure.
If the screws from the leg that goes into the base of the washing machine (circled orange) aren’t all the way through, gently pull down on the suspension leg, so the nut has enough to screw onto.
Then re-screw the nuts back to the bottom.
And that's it, your new drum shock absorber kit is all set to go!
