Hotpoint Washing Machine Door Hinge
1. Remove door
Begin by removing the door from the hinge. On this Hotpoint model, it’s held in place by four t15 screws. Make sure you’re supporting the door, or ask for help, as you don’t want to drop and damage it.
Remove the door. Make sure you're supporting the door, or ask for help, as you don't want to drop or damage it.
2. Remove old door hinge
The two bolts on the door hinge can then be removed with your 7mm socket.
3. Install new door hinge
Unpack your new door hinge.
The side with the large metal plate on the door hinge attaches to the washing machine as shown.
Screw in the two 7mm bolts, making sure they’re nice and tight.
4. Attach door to new hinge
Attach the door to the new door hinge.
Re-screw the four screws back in place. Again, make sure to support the door.
Check to make sure the door opens and closes correctly.
And that’s it, your new door hinge is all set to go!
