In this video we'll talk you through how to clean and replace the filter on your Indesit washing machine.
When should you inspect the filter
It's a good idea to get in to the habit of inpecting the filter on your Indesit washing machine on a regular basis. We suggest once a month for washing machines that are used on a regular basis such as once a day.
Step 1 - Remove the lower panel
You will notice that there are 3 slots in the bottom panel. Using a flat bladed screwdrive carefully push down and prise away the panel.
Step 2 - Place a towel and container
It is important to catch any water that might be in the sump and pump of the washing machine. We advise using a towel and a container incase of any spillages.
Step 3 - Remove the screws
The filter housing is held in place by 4 screws which now need to be removed.
Step 4 - Remove the pump and filter housing
On this model the pump and filter housing are removed from the washing machine by turning it counter clockwise.
Step 5 - Unscrew the filter
Place the pump and filter housing over the container and unscrew the filter slowly.
Step 6 - Clean and Replace
Now you can give the filter and inside the filter housing a thorough clean, and replace the filter in the filter housing.
