Bosch Dishwasher Outer Front Door Panel

1. Remove the Cabinet Door

If your dishwasher is an integrated model, the cabinet door needs to be removed from the front first. Always unplug the dishwasher from the mains before starting any repair work.

On this Bosch model, the cabinet door is held in by four T20 Torx screws. Some models use rounded screws for the cabinet door and flat screws for the control panel and outer front door panel — unscrew the four rounded top screws holding the cabinet door to the dishwasher. Once they're out, detach the cabinet door and place it to one side.

2. Weigh Down the Door and Remove the Outer Panel Screws

With the cabinet door off, the dishwasher door will try to spring closed because it has lost its counterweight. Hold it open by placing something heavy inside, like a milk carton or a bag of flour.

Remove the four Torx T20 screws holding the outer front door panel in place. The two Torx T20 screws in the middle that held the cabinet door will also need to come out fully. You can leave the top two screws in place.

3. Remove the Old Panel and Transfer the Insulation Plate

Slide the old outer front door panel down and away from the dishwasher. Remove the insulation plate from the back of the old panel and keep it to one side — you'll be reusing it on the new panel.

Take your new outer front door panel and place the insulation plate into it. The insulation has two sides, one with a curved pattern and one with straight lines — the curved pattern must face up.

4. Fit the New Outer Front Door Panel

Attach the new outer front door panel to the dishwasher by lining up the slots with the plastic tabs underneath the control panel. Lower the door and screw the four Torx T20 screws back into place.

Then thread the two longer screws for the cabinet door into their middle positions and tighten them up.

5. Reattach the Cabinet Door

Finally, reattach the cabinet door to the dishwasher by the fixing brackets at the bottom. Line up each screw end with the existing holes on the cabinet door and tighten. Repeat for the others until all four screws are secured.

And that's it — your new outer front door panel is fitted and your dishwasher is ready to go back into service. Need more Bosch dishwasher spare parts?
