Why dishwasher filters should be cleaned
It’s essential that you keep your dishwasher filters clean and in good order otherwise you’ll find that your dishwasher and crockery smells and doesn't cleaning your cutlery and dishes as you would expect.
Where are the filters located
There’s normally 3 filters on a dishwasher that need regular cleaning.
The first filter that should be cleaned after every use of your dishwasher is the central filter. This normally comprises of a central solid plastic filter and a fine mesh filter that surrounds it.
Both should be cleaned thoroughly in order to remove any food debris that has entered the filters. The most popular filter that needs replacing is the fine mesh filter as this tends to perish and break over time.
The third filter that needs cleaning on a weekly basis is the stainless steel bottom filter. Again this should be cleaned thoroughly in order to remove any food debris that it has collected.
