Bosch Dishwasher Tablet Dispenser

1. Access tablet dispenser

If your dishwasher is an integrated model, pause the video and follow these steps to gain access if needed.

Again, if your dishwasher is an integrated model, the cabinet door will need to be removed from the front.

Remove cabinet door (if applicable)

On this model, it’s held in by four T20 torx screw screws found here. Some models will have rounded screws for the cabinet door and then flat screws that hold the control panel and outer front door panel in place.

Remove the four rounded top screws holding the cabinet door to the dishwasher.

The cabinet door can then be detached from the dishwasher and placed to one side.

Remove control panel

If any screws are left behind in the dishwasher, make sure to remove them.

Remove the four T20 torx screws holding the control panel in place.

Remove outer front door panel

Remove the four T20 torx screws holding the outer front door panel in place.

Fourth screw to remove from outer front door panel

The outer front door panel can be placed to one side.

Rest the control panel against the dishwasher, making sure not to put any tension on the wires.

Remove electrical connectors

Start by unclipping the wire retainer at the top.

And the wire retainer on the side.

Then, unclip the two electrical connectors.

You may need a small flathead screwdriver to lift a tab before removing it.

2. Remove old tablet dispenser

With some coins and your flathead screwdriver, wedge them between the metal tabs and the detergent dispenser itself.

You should only need to do the sides and either the bottom or the top.

Push the tablet dispenser from the outside and pull from the inside.

Once it’s started to move forward, remove the bottom coins and continue to push inwards.

The tablet dispenser should then push through to the other side. Remember to pick up any loose coins if they’ve dropped into the dishwasher.

3. Install new tablet dispenser

Unpackage your new dishwasher tablet dispenser.

Lubricate rubber seal

It can help to lubricate the seal with a small amount of washing up liquid.

Make sure the new tablet dispenser is this way up and attach it to the dishwasher.

Push down from the other side to make sure it clicks into place. Make sure all the plastic tabs from the tablet dispenser are attached to the metal tabs.

Attach electrical connectors

Clip the wire retainer in place at the top.

Connect the first electrical connector.

Re-attach control panel

Place the control panel against the dishwasher door and re-screw the two middle screws back in place.

With the two remaining screws, re-screw them on either side.

Re-attach out front door panel

Slide the outer front door panel up into the control panel.

Then re-screw the four screws back in place.

Re-attach cabiner door (if applicable) 

Re-attach the cabinet door to the dishwasher by the fixing brackets at the bottom.

Thread one of the Torx T20 screws into one of the holes on the dishwasher.

Line up the screw end with the existing hole on the cabinet door.

Tighten the screw.

Repeat for the three others.

And that’s it, your new dishwasher tablet dispenser is all set to go.
