How to Replace a Dishwasher Door Sensor - Bosch

Bosch Dishwasher Door Sensor

1. Accessing door sensor

If your dishwasher is an integrated model, pause the video and follow these steps to gain access if needed.

2. Remove cabinet door front (if applicable)

Again, if your dishwasher is an integrated model, the cabinet door will need to be removed from the dishwasher.

On this model, it’s held in by four T20 torx screws . Some models will have rounded screws for the door and then flat screws that hold the control panel in place.

Remove the four rounded top screws holding the cabinet door to the dishwasher.

The cabinet door can then be detached from the dishwasher and placed to one side.

If any screws are left behind in the dishwasher, make sure to remove them.

3. Remove control panel

Remove the four T20 torx screws connecting the dishwasher door and control panel.

The control panel can then be lifted up and unclipped.

To ease any tension on the wiring, you can rest it on a box.

4. Remove old door sensor

With your T10 screwdriver, remove the screw on either side holding the door sensor in place.

Unclip the wire connector.

5. Install new door sensor

Unpackage your new dishwasher door sensor.

Clip the electrical connector to your new door sensor.

Attach the door sensor to the top of the dishwasher door.

Re-screw the two T10 torx screws back in place.

6. Re-attach control panel

The tabs at the bottom of the control panel slot into the holes on the dishwasher door.

Line these up and click the control panel into place.

Re-screw Torx T20 screws

Re-screw the Torx T20 screws to secure the control panel to the dishwasher door.

7. Re-attach cabinet door front (if applicable)

Re-attach the cabinet door to the dishwasher by the fixing brackets.

Re-screw four Torx T20 screws

Thread one of the cabinet door Torx T20 screws in the remaining holes on the dishwasher.

Line up the screw end with the existing hole on the cabinet door.

Re-screw in place. Repeat this process for the remaining three.

And that’s it, your new dishwasher door sensor is all set to go.
