Bosch Dishwasher Regeneration Valve
1. Remove the Side Panel
Unplug the dishwasher from the mains before starting any repair work. To gain access to the regeneration valve, the side panel needs to be removed.
Start by removing the single Torx T20 screw on the front of the panel. Once the screw is out, lift the side panel away from the machine and place it to one side.

2. Remove the Old Regeneration Valve
The regeneration valve is connected to the water softener assembly towards the bottom of the dishwasher. Place a towel underneath to soak up any water, then put on a pair of work gloves.
Begin to rotate the valve anticlockwise — it can be stiff, so take your time. Use a flathead screwdriver to help loosen the clip at the back of the valve as shown. The regeneration valve can then be pulled away from the water softener. Don't worry if any parts are left behind — pull the plastic pin away, then use your long-nose pliers to remove any remaining part stuck in the housing.
Finally, unclip the electrical connector from the old valve.

3. Fit the New Regeneration Valve
Make sure the hole for the regeneration valve on the water softener is completely clear before fitting the new valve. Unpack your new regeneration valve.
Start with the regeneration valve slightly turned as shown and press it firmly into the water softener assembly. Then rotate clockwise until the rear two clips click into place. You'll know it's correctly installed when the valve can't be pulled away from the water softener. Reattach the electrical connector to the new valve.

4. Reattach the Side Panel
Refit the side panel by lining up the two slots at the bottom with the two small plastic tabs on the base of the dishwasher. Pull the panel upwards to click it into position.
Finally, rescrew the front Torx T20 screw back in to secure the panel.

And that's it — your new regeneration valve is fitted and your dishwasher is ready to go back into service. Need more Bosch dishwasher spare parts?
