Bosch Dishwasher Insulating Plate
1. Remove the Cabinet Door
If your dishwasher is an integrated model, the cabinet door will need to be removed from the front first. Remember to unplug the dishwasher from the mains before starting any repair work.
On this Bosch model, the cabinet door is held in by four T20 Torx screws. Some models use rounded screws for the cabinet door and flat screws for the control panel and outer front door panel — you only need to remove the four rounded top screws holding the cabinet door to the dishwasher. Once they're out, detach the cabinet door from the dishwasher and place it to one side.
2. Remove the Kick Plate
The kick plate needs to be removed to access the insulation plate behind it. On this Bosch model it's held in place by two Torx T20 screws — remove these and set them to one side.
Use a flathead screwdriver (or a butter knife) to lift the kick plate up and away from the dishwasher. If your machine has a floor time light, unclip the electrical connector before placing the kick plate to one side.
3. Replace the Insulation Plate
Remove the old insulation plate from behind the kick plate area and discard it. Unpack your new insulation plate ready to fit.
Place the new insulation plate neatly inside the dishwasher as shown, making sure to keep the floor time light wire accessible if your machine has one.
4. Reassemble the Dishwasher
If your machine has a floor time light and you unclipped the electrical connector earlier, clip it back into place now. Reattach the kick plate and rescrew the two Torx T20 screws to hold it in position.
Finally, reattach the cabinet door to the dishwasher by the fixing brackets at the bottom. Thread a screw into one of the holes on the dishwasher and loosely tighten it to hold the door in place, then line up the remaining screws with the existing holes on the cabinet door and tighten them one by one.
