1. Unclip the Plate Holder and Remove the Old Bearing
Lift the basket assembly up and out of the dishwasher. The bearings sit on the side of the basket and come in different sizes depending on where they clip on, so locate the one you need to replace. Start by unclipping the plate holder from the bearing. Once the plate holder is free, the bearing itself can be unclipped from the basket assembly and removed.

2. Fit the New Bearing to the Plate Holder
Unpackage the new dishwasher bearing. Before fitting it, check the orientation — the arrow on the bearing must point downwards. With the bearing the right way up, clip the plate holder into the bottom slot on the new bearing.

3. Clip the Bearing to the Basket Assembly
With the plate holder fitted, clip the bearing onto the basket assembly. Make sure the side clip on the bearing locks onto the vertical metal wire of the basket — this is what holds the bearing securely in place.

4. Test the Plate Holder Movement
Once the bearing is fitted, test the plate holders to make sure they can be folded up and lowered down freely. They should move smoothly without resistance.

5. Reinsert the Basket into the Dishwasher
Slide the bottom basket back into the dishwasher on its rails. That's it — your new bearing is fitted and ready to go.

And that's it — your Bosch dishwasher plate holders should now fold up and down properly. Need more Bosch dishwasher spare parts?
