Brill and very easy to fit
Was worried about calling engineer and associated costs. Watched video, decided to give it a go even though I'm not a DIY geek but it couldn't have been easier. Great video, saved a packet and cooker works as new. Many thanks Ransom

Excellent value product
When I turned on my fan oven, my fuses went and when I reset them no heat was generated by the oven although the oven light came on and the fan whirred. I was preparing myself to callout an expensive engineer (probably 2 visits at £100 total plus parts). I googled the symptoms and my Electrolux model came across diagnosis that my element had probably gone... And I found the VERY helpful video on Ransom Spares website telling me how to change the element. So I ordered the replacement element (compatible) and it arrived as promised. I fitted it next day following the instructions and it worked like a dream. THANK YOU Ransom spares in saving me £100+ !

eased a potential problem
On August 10 - halfway through our busiest period of chambres d'hotes in the Pyrenees and halfway through cooking a leg of lamb, our electricity supply cut out. The general fuse had blown and further investigation showed that the main oven element had gone. It could have been a disaster, with a John Lewis cooker a long way from a UK outlet. But the next day I searched for the cooker on line and found Ransomspares - with the part and a video to show me how to change it - including how to take off the oven door, which is not at all clear. I removed the broken element, checked the picture of the replacement was the same and made the order, on Monday I received an email to confirm the part had been sent and it arrived on Friday August 16, it might have arrived on the Thursday, but that was a public holiday here - I fitted it soon after and the oven was up and going again - and cleaner! All within a week - so great service.

ELEMENTARY MY DEAR WATSON ....
This generic element was an exact match for the Zanussi original, and possibly of better quality. Followed your video guide for replacement and fitting it was very straight forward. Fan oven now works as it should. Very pleased. Cheers, Bob

Oven element
This product was delivered next day and fitted within 10 minutes. Cooker now working again and saved the £139 call out charge from Currys - total cost with P&P was £16 approx.

Oven as good as new
Once the element was identified and part ordered, we had it within a couple of days. To replace, you just need a cross head screwdriver. Turn the power off, ideally remove the oven door to give better access. Then just unclip the oven temp probe and leave dangling, remove the rear oven lining (4 screws), remove 3 screws holding the element and carefully pull out. Take the elec leads off. Replace in reverse order. DONE

fitted my zanussi oven perfectly and soooo easy
when my oven conked out i was going to order a new one. a friend gave me the ransom website and the online video of how to replace the element seemed so simple i decided to gamble about £12 on having a go. Local suppliers were charging over £25 for the element and local repair companies at least £75 to supply and fit. A wise choice, it took all of 5 minutes to fit the new element and all working perfectly again. If you can use a screwdriver and pliers to get the electrical spades off the old element its a doddle. I also learnt how to easily remove the oven door as a bonus!! Thanks Ransom you saved me a fortune
