Description
How does a control head conversion kit on a Karcher pressure washer work?
The control head on a Karcher pressure washer operates by receiving user input and transmitting signals to adjust settings and activate functions.
This kit allows you to convert the control head of your pressure washer from a 26mm to a 22mm fitting, expanding compatibility with a wider range of accessories and attachments. Whether you need to switch between different spray wands, nozzles, or hoses, this conversion kit offers a convenient solution.
When do you replace your control head?
If the buttons, dials, or switches become unresponsive, erratic, or fail to function properly, it suggests a need for control head replacement.
Visible signs of physical damage, such as cracks, breakage, or significant wear and tear, can also compromise performance and safety, warranting replacement.
Persistent functional issues like inconsistent pressure adjustments, erratic behaviour, or frequent error messages indicate a malfunctioning control head that should be replaced.
Is it a genuine spare part?
This control head conversion kit by Karcher is a genuine pressure washer replacement part. Your pressure washer can work good-as-new in cleaning surfaces.

Good part but fiddly to fit
My washer sprung leaks from both the control head and the bit beneath with three chambers. If Karcher wanted a product that would last they'd have made both from metal but that is just my opinion. It wasn't clear to me which control head I needed as both appeared to do the job and this one was called the conversion kit. I couldn't find information anywhere about why the conversion was needed so I chose this control head only because it looked like the one with a leak. Fitting is fairly straight forward but be careful to keep hold of all the spacers and fiddly bits attached when you take it apart! I lost one for a week and found it at the end of my workbench. Then tightening the whole assembly needs three hands! I have a torque wrench and tightened the screws down to the same torque as I used in days past on car cylinder heads. All fixed now and the washer is much more vigorous that I recall! It must have been leaking for a long time.
Exactly what was needed
Exactly what was needed , The parts replaced the existing one perfectly and I now have a fully functioning machine after a little bit of tweaking. Well worth the effort. I will definitely use ransom spares again.
