Bosch Chopper Cutting Head
You need to sure that anyone using your Bosch shredder passes only wood and greenstuff through the machine. Be advised it does not cope well with stones or bricks nor it was ever intended to do so. I have owned a Bosch for many years now and I have just purchased and fitted my third cutting head as the two previous heads were asked by one user to try to shred brick and stones which were contained in the soil of some roots. A yellow card has been issued! The cutting head is nonetheless very strong and very easy to fit despite its weight which is essential for robustness. Just be sure to have a quantity of grease available as it will pay to remove the existing grease material which may contain sawdust or grit. Then you are set to go.

Chipper Blade
Remarkably easy to fit with the instructions supplied; just be sure you have the necessary "bits" to get into the machine in the first place. I had forgotten how cleanly the blade cut, it was so long ago I bought the original.

Great product. Straightforward fit
It’s a pity that the plate can’t be bought separately but these are the right parts for the older shredder which is a much better piece of kit than the modern ones. Replacement is straightforward for anyone with basic DIY skills. The parts are quite expensive but the machine is now as good as new. Delighted.

New lease of life
My shredder broke its cutting plate and this genuine Bosch part replaced the cutting wheel and the plate. Fitting was straight forward and has given the shredder a new lease of life at a quarter of the price of a replacement shredder. Great delivery too, 4 working days from component failure to back up and running. Very recommended.

A new lease of life
After 20 years of fairly tough use, the pressure plate on my Bosch shredder broke leaving me with the prospect of spending ~£400 on the new equivalent machine. After searching the internet for spares, Ransom's were the only supplier I could find. The new parts came on time, were fitted very easily and the shredder is up and running again - hopefully for another 20 years.

Shredder is like new
It was expensive, costing more than half of what the shredder cost when new about 20 years ago. Nevertheless it is an excellent shredder gobbling up prunings as fast as I can feed them in. I suspect a machine of comparable performance would have cost about £200 and would not have been 'silent'. I had a little difficulty adjusting the new cutter, which came with a free new anvil, so the motor kept tripping out until the new bits had run in. This operation took me about 30 minutes during which time I feared I had wasted my money but all is well that ends well and the machine is as good as new.
