Description

What is an O-ring seal in pressure washers?

An O-ring seal in pressure washers is a type of rubber ring designed to create a watertight seal between two components where pipes, hoses, or fittings connect. It is called an O-ring due to its circular shape with a cross-section resembling the letter "O."

The O-ring seal acts as a barrier against water seepage and maintains the integrity of the pressure washer's connections.

Why do you replace them?

The rubber material of the O-ring can degrade or become worn with exposure to high pressure, temperature fluctuations, chemical exposure, or general wear and tear.

When O-rings become damaged, they lose their elasticity and fail to create a proper seal and this results in leaks or reduced pressure in the pressure washer system.

Is it a genuine spare part?

This O-ring seal kit by Karcher is a genuine pressure washer replacement part. Your pressure washer can work good-as-new in cleaning surfaces.

Includes:

  • 16 x O rings, 5 different sizes
  • 4 x yellow safety plugs

Complete set

I got this just in case the problem with my jamming lance was not the handgun. The problem was resolved by replacing the handgun but it seemed like a good idea to replace the O rings too. All good.

Great find

I was concerned I would need to replace the entire jet hose on my Karcher K7. The O RING SEAL KIT was such a small ,simple, easy to fit part that solved the problem and there is a second one of the same size in the kit if needed.

Ideal kit to cover most replaceable seals

A little pricy for what it is but that’s the price for convenience of a kit I suppose that aside not all seals required for my model but ones that were required were a perfect fit helping in part to clear my pulsating and low output pressure, machine as good as new again

Karcher o"ring seal kit

I have only used a couple of seals but it has done the job stopping the water leak, the other parts are for spares, so yes the kit is fine for my karcher.

I have a kb4040 pressure washer and when assembling it to use yesterday there was water leaking from between the end of the handgun and extension piece. I looked to see if any debris could be cause an issue with the seal but couldn’t see anything. Is it likely that a washer could be missing causing the leak? Thanks

Hi Louise, please fill out a part enquiry and include the TYP number from the bottom of the pressure washer beginning 1.
