How To Replace The Suppressor On A Tumble Dryer

Video Transcript:

Hi my name is Shawn and today I'm going to show you how to replace the suppressor on the Candy tumble dryer.  Whilst you make and model might vary slightly the procedure should be similar no matter what tumble dryer you have.  First of all though please ensure that you isolate the appliance from the mains before carrying out any repairs.

First of all we need to remove the lid of the tumble dryer.  This is held in place by 3 screw at the rear of the machine.

With the lid removed the suppressor will be located where the electrical wires enter the tumble dryer.  Quite often you will visually be able to see that the suppressor is faulty as it may have burning or scorch marks on it.

The next thing we need to do is note the position of the wires that are connected to it, and remove them.  Now we can remove the 2 screws from the rear of the tumble dryer which are holding the suppressor in place.

Now we can simply exchange the old faulty suppressor with a new servicable one.

And it's as simple as that!  Suppressors and all other tumble dryer spares can be found on the Ransom Spares website.  Thanks for watching!
