Perfect Fit
After 21 years my old Indesit washing machine had given up spinning. I'm no mechanical engineer but I guessed correctly that the brushes were the likely suspects of this malfunction. After some online tuition in washing machine repair, I felt confident to give it a go. Removing the old brushes was a little difficult because of one very tight screw but persistence paid off. Having the old brushes to hand made identifying the correct replacement part very easy. The photos on the Ransom Spares website are clear and detailed. Once they arrived (which took a little longer than expected) installation of the new carbon brushes was simple and took mere minutes. My old Indesit is now back up and spinning, hopefully for another 21 years!

Very pleased with these carbon brushes easy to fit. Ransom spares tick all the boxes value for money fast delivery well packaged and they have saved me buying a new washing machine after watching there helpful video you cant go wrong. Make sure you do all the checks to make sure they will be compatible with your machine first.

Dead easy to fit, just two screws hold each brush and was able to change without removing the motor.

Saved a fortune by DIYing
My washing machine recently stopped turning and I was quoted £129 by Indesit to get someone out to fix it. After reading various guides online, I figured it was probably the carbon brushes. Thanks to this website I not only was able to find the right product but was also guided through the process step by step thanks to the brilliant video - and my washing machine is now working again. I'm delighted! I didn't have any problems with the brushes fitting, but it did take me a few minutes to realise the carbon brushes pop out by releasing the little plastic clip at the end – and that you do this after having fitted them. Other than that (and having to buy the right nut drivers), it was a breeze!

I was helped identifying the correct type for my machine and they soon arrived and were promptly fitted. A simple diy job jus remove a panel. then brush location screws and connector. Good quality and great price. Why risk the cheap stuff of auction sites in a machine that's cost you hundreds. I've bought paddles before from ransom spares so knew the quality would be top spec.

MOTOR BRUSHES
Great product, and easy to fit,however The plastic locating pins in the bottom of the carbon brush carrier did not fit into the electric motor locating holes, but I easily removed them with a small junior hacksaw, and then fitted to the motor, which then worked perfectly But since it was much cheaper than the manufacturers genuine replacement, I am very pleased with this product

Compatible with a simple fit
I selected the compatible carbon brushes on the website by mistake, they needed a minor alteration (locating dowels in different place, I just cut off) they have been fitted for at least 10 washes and all is well. I live in Yeovil and was able to collect my item so can't comment on mail service. I have since bought an item to fix my cooker and find the staff very friendly and helpful, there technical staff were very knowledgeable. I would recommend and will use Ransom again (Hopefully not to soon) if required.
