Excellent Service

By Barrie Stevens - Monmouth - 16th Sep 2017

Despatched and delivered very quickly. Was easy to change, having watched the video. Seal was identical to the original and was of good quality. Was a bit pricey though. Unfortionately, having changed it, the drum was still rubbing on the edge of the seal and it turned out the "Spider" on the back of the drum had cracked. At £192 for the drum and £63 for bearings it wasn't economic to repair it. You can't win them all!

Ease of Fitting

No Easy Task!

By Tony G - Swindon - 6th Dec 2015

I wasn't expecting a walk in the park fitting this part but it turned out to be very tricky. Having looked through a few instruction videos I was confident enough but with my machine (Bosch Logixx 7 built-in) the construction is different than the demos. I was unable to remove the counterweights from the drum as they are now fixed with adhesive rather than bolts so it was quite fiddly feeding the rubber lip onto the drum rim. Then getting the wire clip over that was a nightmare - you'll need a flat bladed screwdriver and a spare pair of hands, preferably those of a washing machine repair man. I had pulled out the machine to get the lid off but it turned out I could have taken the front off without doing this so have a good look for all the screws on the front before you pull the machine out. Quite happy with the quality of the part though, exactly the same as the original one and was delivered on time but a bit pricey. Generally very good.

Exact Replacement

By Mr Mark Baxter - Warwick - 9th Jul 2013

The door seal was an exact replacement for the Bosch item. The seal clamps were different though and one wouldn't fit without damaging the seal. Managed to reuse the old clamps though so no problems. It may be a Bosch but the price is fairly steep!
