Bosch door seal
Product looks good. Fitting explained really well on Ransom's website video clip. Toughest bit was fitting the retaining springs - perhaps I'm not as strong as I was! Definite knack to easing them into the grooves on the seal.

Did the Job
Easy to find part on the Ransome Website. Did the Job, speedy despatch, and saved me buying a whole new washing machine. Price reasonable. The 'How To' video was invaluable to help me learn how to fit the part, and this sets Ransome above other parts suppliers

Fantastic quality genuine replacement
Random spares delivered this replacement seal really quickly, which was much appreciated when our washer door seal failed a week before we went on holiday! This is a genuine replacement seal and as such is quite a bit more expensive than some of the unbranded replacements out there. It seems a bit pricey for what it is, but Ransom spares was one of the cheapest for this genuine part and definitely the cheapest when I needed one day delivery. It's a Bosch/seimens part, so quality is spot on, with all new seal retaining rings provided in the pack. It is a perfect fit and matched the original part exactly. I'm fairly handy and found fitting it was fiddly but fairly straightforward. The very helpful video was great to understand how to go about it. My seimens machine needed a lot more parts removing than the Bosch, but it wasn't too difficult. Trickiest bit was trying to get the inner retaining spring on by myself. Two spring shaped red marks across my fingers and a short bout of swearing sorted it and it snapped into place on the third try. The rest was an easy DIY job and it's been working perfectly since, putting up with some serious pre and post holiday overtime!

Great Product - Tricky to Fit
Always better to buy the original part in my experience, in this case Bosch, as repeating the job works out way more expensive. this was tricky to fit but once I found a tip on another review it was much easier - the tip is to wipe Washing Up Liquid (actually Fa*ry Liquid) on the new door seal before you try to put it onto the drum and machine front - if you do that then suddenly it's way easier to put on!

Needed assistance with the drum spring collar
It was straightforward removing the top panel, control panel and front panel. Easyish to prise off the spring collars that hold the seal in place. Easy to remove the seal from the drum and door and to put the new one in place - a genuine part so fits perfectly. Very hard to fit the spring collar over the seal to clamp the seal to the drum. I had to get a second pair of hands to roll it onto the left side whilst I rolled it onto the right side. My machine had a plastic bar from door switch to pump. It was important to get that back in the correct place!! Fitting the spring collar over the seal to clamp it to the front panel needed some effort. With the spring positioned on the seal, vertically on the left side, I put a hook in the bottom end of the spring and stretched it downwards with one hand. At the same time I pushed the wire loop over the seal with the other hand. Surprisingly the spring didn't slip around the rubber seal during this process despite the considerable downwards force applied.

I had purchased this item from another company just because it was cheaper, But it was not up to scratch and didn’t quite fit. So I decided to pay the higher cost for the real deal,and should of done this in the first place. The item was a 100% match and it was easy to fit. One of those jobs you have great satisfaction from doing. And I still look at the door seal with pride. I know what your thinking, “ it’s the little things in life”. I have a Bosch varioperfect washing machine and need to replace the door gasket seal. I am unsure which of the seals to order. the model number of the machine is WAQ284SO/12. How do find out if this seal is correct and will fit. There appear to be several seals so really dont know which one will fit.
