I would like to purchase screws to attach the door hinge to the body of the machine on an Indesit IWE81681 ECO washing machine. We have lost the original screws. I am not clear what type of screws are required & would be grateful if you could confirm whether these self tapping screws (product number RS6656) are the correct ones. I spoke to a washing machine engineer who suggested that it might be necessary to remove the seal and attach the screws to a back plate. Please could you confirm. Thanks

Hi Rachel, I can confirm that according to the manufacturer that this part is correct for fixing the hinge onto your model of machine. Looking at the parts diagram for your appliance, it would appear that you may need to remove the seal to get access to the rear screws on the hinge but we cannot be certain as we are not provided with any fitting instructions for the parts we stock.
