It sits between the washing machine's drum and outer housing, forming a snug seal to prevent soap or water leaks during washing and spinning. Also prevents metal-on-metal contact since it acts as a buffer between the washing machine frame and the door.
Your door seal rubber gasket needs to be changed if it shows visible signs of wear, such as cracks, tears, or mould growth. Change it with this replacement part.

Great Quality but a struggle to fit
I initially ordered the wrong seal - I needed a washer/dryer seal but ordered the washer only one by mistake, I think the machine model numbers were the same/similar? I returned the incorrect part, simple process and am awaiting the refund. Once I received the correct seal the 'fun' of fitting it began. I followed the guidance in the videos available online, but for the inexperienced it's a very fiddly job. It took me 3 hours...plus scrapped knuckles - not the 10 minute job suggested by the videos!
