My 15 month old Hotpoint Washer unexpectedly stopped heating the water. A quick Google suggested it'd would be the heating element and/or the Thermistor. Ransom Spares came up trumps. I emailed to double check it suited my model number as another website didn't recognise it. Jordan was really helpful and gave me confidence to place the order. I ordered both - just in case. The old element was easy to remove. The new element was identical in size but the rubber sealing washer appeared slightly different at first glance. The new one was totally flat whereas the old one seemed to have a raised edge all round. The new element slid in really easily - too easily I felt. It really didn't feel like there was a rubber seal in place. I wondered if tightening the securing nut somehow expands the seal, and that's exactly the case. I did also replace the Thermistor even though, from using a test meter it was only the element that had been faulty. I did a test wash to check for any leaks, but all was fine and most importantly - the water now heats up. I'd definitely recommend Ransom Spares who also delivered very quickly.
Ransom gives an excellent easy to do video on YouTube demonstrating removal and installation of a new washing machine element. Saves a small fortune. Many Thanks.
Ordered it and it came exactly as promised. Easy to fit and saved us a fortune.
