Hotpoint Washing Machine Drum Shock Absorber KitC00271755

Arrived as per promise. Appears a decent quality product. Removing and Fitting the nylon pins not easy but can't really blame supplier. It's just tricky.

Fitted these to my 15 year old Hotpoint as the drum was banging around badly while trying to balance for spin - now its almost like having a new machine again. The old ones I took out had completely failed.

These replacement dampers have transformed our ageing Hotpoint from a shaking monster on spin to a smooth machine like it was when new. Easy to fit thanks to the Ransom Spares video. Great value too - better than buying a new machine - thanks

Ordered new shock absorbers as old washing machine was leaping around during spin cycle. Parts were easy to order, arrived quickly and were a better design than originals fitted. Shocks were straightforward to fit as demonstrated on several U-tube videos and certainly improved performance but not 100% so decided to remove the drum (a big job) and found that the spider mount had cracked and failed. Cost and effort of replacing that plus new bearings etc was prohibitive so bought a new machine. Oh well . . . .

This is one of those parts that may not appear to have worn, but when fitted it becomes very apparent just how bad the old ones had got. The usual symptom is that during spin cycles, the drum does it's best to escape from the cabinet if there's more than one towel in the machine, with worrying noises as it does it. These parts can be fitted relatively easily without much dismantling, and the improvement is instant, I have already ordered another set for a different machine that has the same issues.
