This is a genuine door seal for your washer door.
Keeps water and soap inside the machine, while forming a tight seal between the drum and outer housing. It also cushions the door to prevent metal-on-metal contact.
Water stains or rust near the door seal meeting the drum or frame suggest a faulty gasket allowing water to leak. A worn gasket leads to more vibration and noise during washing as it can't stabilise the drum effectively and cause increased vibrations. Change it with this part.
