General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your washing machine.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
This is a genuine replacement door interlock for your washing machine.
Keeps the door from accidentally opening so you’re safe from the machine’s moving parts or hot water during the cycle.
A damaged or worn-out interlock causes your washing machine's door to fail to latch shut or lock firmly. It can cause leaks during the wash cycle.
If the machine won't start or abruptly stops mid-cycle, the door interlock being damaged can be one of the reasons.
This door interlock is from Hotpoint. It also fits Ariston and Indesit washing machines.
