Tick the symptoms your appliance is showing. We’ll tell you how confident we are this part is the fix.
Error codes are model dependent, so the same brand may have more than one listed.
| Code | Brand | What it means | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| C3 | Electrolux | Means a flood or water has been detected in the bottom tray, often with 3 beeps. It is usually caused by a leaking seal, a clogged drain filter, excessive suds, or laundry trapped in the door seal. | High |
| E13 | Electrolux | Means there is a water leak into the base pan, or the water level drops below the required point during operation. It is usually caused by a slow leak, over-sudsing, or a faulty pressure sensor or switch. | High |
| E44 | Electrolux | Means the machine cannot detect that the door is properly closed and locked. It is usually caused by trapped laundry, a damaged door seal, a faulty door lock mechanism, or a faulty main board. | High |
| EF0 | Electrolux | Means a flood safety condition has been triggered. It is usually caused by excessive suds, a clogged drain filter, an internal water leak, or a leaking door seal. | High |
| E13 | Zanussi | Means an internal water leak has triggered the anti-flood device in the base of the machine. It is usually caused by a drain pump fault, a split hose, or a loose seal. | Medium |
| E42 | Zanussi | Means a door lock malfunction, specifically a problem with the door aperture closure mechanism. It is usually caused by damage or debris on the door lock assembly, with the same fault family covering E43 door interlock triac, E44 door closure sensing circuit, and E45 triac sensing circuit. | High |
| EF0 | Zanussi | Means the anti-flood system has been activated with water detected in the base tray, also reported as EFo or EF3. It is usually caused by excessive foam from over-soaping, a clogged drain filter, or a minor leak. | High |
| EF3 | Zanussi | Means the Aqua Control system has detected a water leak and activated safety mode. It is usually caused by over-sudsing, a damaged door seal, a filter blockage, or a leak into the base tray. | High |

General fitting guidance. The exact steps can vary slightly with the make and model of your washing machine.
Safety: Switch off and unplug at the mains before you start.
This is a genuine door seal for your washer door.
Helps keep all the water and soap inside the machine. It forms a snug barrier between the drum and the outer housing, preventing leaks while also cushioning the door to stop metal parts from clashing.
Over time, if you notice water stains, rust, or excess noise during a wash, your seal could be wearing out. If that sounds familiar, it's time for a fresh one. Change it with this part.
Watch our video below on how to fit a new one.

Good quality product. Reasonably priced as always. As a domestic appliance engineer I wouldn't go any where else!
Good value for money, nice quality and it's not to hard to fit.Recomended !
brilliant service and product .. fitted like a glove ... no hassle buying from Ransomspares yet again
This part is OEM quality, good value, and the service from Ransoms is fast..however on my machine, the JLWM1200, there's a lot of dismantling required to expose the front of the drum, involving removal of the concrete weight. Straightforward if you know how, but I recommend to watch the relevant Youtube video for your model before attempting this repair.
The replacement seal fits exactly as expected. Quality looks as good as original part. Delivery was fast, although tracking was not possible. Overall it was a very good deal.
