Electrolux Washing Machine Complete Drum Tub Unit3484168806

I replaced the drum assembly on my JohnLewis JLWD1612 washer dryer (I believe these are made by Electrolux for John Lewis). The replacement part identical to the old one in appearance, the mounting points are all in the same places. All the accessible parts appear to be of equivalent material quality. I've only given 4 start for value - this was the cheapest place where I found the part, but it is irritation that the original washing machine design doesn't allow you to just replace the bearings (which appears to be a much cheaper replacement). Ease of fitting and use, again I've only given 4 stars, not because of this part, but because inherently in replacing this type of part you have to take most of the machine apart, manoeuvre the fairly heavy drum into place and attach everything. This is more to do with the original machine design where I expect it would have been assembled using a suspension system. An engine hoist or assistant might be handy for making this process easier. We'll see if this lasts any longer than the original (3 and a half years for the original, but it did have to cope with two kids in re-usable nappies).
