How does a softener dispenser syphon work?
A softener dispenser holds fabric softener and releases it during the rinse cycle. It consists of a reservoir or cup located in the agitator or top panel of the washing machine. When the rinse cycle begins, water flows into the dispenser, diluting the fabric softener.
As the water level rises, a syphon mechanism is triggered, causing the diluted fabric softener to be pulled into the washing machine's drum, where it gets evenly distributed among the laundry.
Why does it get clogged or faulty?
Mineral deposits or fabric softener residue build up over time. These deposits restrict the water flow and prevent the softener from dispensing effectively if the dispenser is not routinely cleaned.
Clogs can also be caused by using excessive amounts of fabric softener or by utilising intense, thick solutions that are not meant for dispensers. Dispensing troubles can also be caused by mechanical faults like a broken dispenser valve or a broken syphon mechanism.

Easy to fit
Great product,easy to fit,my old one got chewed up by dog,so was using machine without one for a while,makes a difference though with one in to stop detergent and conditioner getting mixed up together in the dispenser drawer,only downside is the price,seems a lot for just a little bit of plastic

What can I say, it slotted straight back into the washing machine drawer and I no longer had an overflowing fabric conditioner dispenser. Who knew a fabric conditioner siphon was so important in a washing machine drawer.

Hello i have a bit of a problem with my softner area in the detergent drawer its not allowing the liquid softner from being used iv tried on 2 washes now and still no joy the siphon looks to be in good order if some what dirty it has been cleaned a number of times though the machine is 9kg 1400 spin with smart touch would a new siphon make any diff,do you think or is it a soft whare problem.
