This is a genuine drain pump and filter for your wash cycle’s draining phase.
Expels the water out of the machine through the drainage hose. All the lint, debris, and foreign objects from the laundry water goes through this filter and it keeps them from clogging or damaging the drain pump.

Replacement Pp
Item was not a direct replacement as there were some differences between the filter housing of the original and this item. However it was a simple matter to exchange these as it was the motor that actually needed replacement. The motor alone was available as a replacement. The ordering process popped up a problem whereby “next day” service did not carry over to the PayPal system and defaulted to “standard”. I noticed this later in the day, and customer services quickly assisted with cancellation while I re-ordered avoiding the PayPal option. Ransom used the Post Office which failed to track the item into their system and so delivery was delayed and “Next day” actually ended up being a more expensive standard delivery. I’m sure a DPD or Hermes service would have been comparable in price and more reliable. Item was damaged on arrival because it had not had any bubble wrap or similar put around it, and had been sent in its box unsupported. Through necessity I was able disregard the damage and use the item. Customer service communication was excellent! so despite above I would be happy to use Ransom again, but hope my 3 month old Hoover washing machine plods on now without requiring further attention. Lesson learnt …. rubber bands in your trouser pocket WILL evade the the filter and cause unnecessary hassle.

Just the Job!
I have no experience of repairing washing machines but I realised that the pump had stopped working. I compared prices and ordered this one from Ransom - much cheaper item. Despite the low price, the quality is great and I managed to fit it quite easily. Washing machine is working normally again.

I used this pump on my WMH148 Hoover washing machine as the original had become faulty. Part arrived practically next day as I paid a little extra for that service. Pump is simple to replace. All you need is a screwdriver and some large pliers or grips to remove the pipe springs. Lie your washing machine on it’s side and access from the bottom . Takes 10-15 minutes to do it. This pump solved my issue and I will use Ransom spares again!
