When the washing machine drum spins, it creates a lot of vibration. The shock absorber keeps it from shaking too much. Also keeps the drum from shifting or rolling while in use.
Also extends the machine's lifespan and lowers mechanical failures. It’s an energy absorber and a shield for internal components from wear and tear.

Identical to the original part
These shock absorbers look exactly the same as the originals fitted to my Siemens washing machine when it was built 24 years ago. The original shock-absorbers where completely worn out after such long service, and the washing machine was making a lot of noise and dancing round the floor, particularly if the load was slightly unbalanced. These new units were fairly easy to install and they have completely transformed the washing machine. It's now working like at was when it was new. It doesn't wobble, vibrate and clatter around the kitchen, and it's so much quieter than it was,

Great product. A bit of a pain to fit
The design of the machine was such that one of the units was relatively easy, but the other was a pain in the hand! The damage is now healed. The parts themselves were easy to fit once the old ones were removed. Very pleased with the 'new' machine we now have.
