How does the drain pump filter work for the washing machine?
Lint, tiny fibres, and other debris that might be present in the washing water are caught and collected by the drain pump filter. During the wash cycle, the water drains from the machine and passes through the drain pump filter.
What compromises the drain pump filter?
The accumulation of lint and debris clog the filter over time. If the filter is not regularly cleaned or maintained, it becomes obstructed and leads to poor water drainage and washing machine performance.
The filter itself becomes damaged or worn out and results in gaps or tears in the mesh. This can allow larger debris to bypass the filter and cause blockages further downstream in the drain system.
