This is a genuine rubber door seal in grey. Resistant to water, detergent and can withstand mechanical stress from everyday use. Has flaps and holes as mounting points to install and remove if you need to change it.
It creates a waterproof seal between the door and the washing machine drum. No water and detergent getting trapped in the drum's crevices.
If the rubber on the door seal starts to sport cracks, tears, or even a little mouldy growth, it's a clear signal to replace it.
This door seal rubber gasket is from AEG. It also fits Electrolux, Fors, Husqvarna, Husqvarna Electrolux, John Lewis, Novamatic, and Rex washing machines.

It works!
Door seal arrived quickly and well packed. The low score for fitting is only because it's a "wotsit" of a job, you need lots of patience and persistence!! Once fitted it did rub slightly against the drum in one place but after a couple of spin cycles it had bedded in and is now fine.
