Description
How do you activate a vacuum cleaner with switches?
You turn the switch "On" position to activate the motor and suction mechanism. Once the vacuum cleaner is powered on, you can manoeuvre it over the desired cleaning surface, pushing or pulling the vacuum cleaner while the suction picks up dirt, dust, and debris.
To stop the operation, you turn the power switch to the "Off" position, and then unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet for safety.
Why do you replace switches?
Switches in vacuum cleaners wear and tear over time. The switch can stop functioning properly, becomes difficult to toggle, or fails to activate the vacuum cleaner.
They’re also susceptible to damage from water or liquid spills and malfunction. Switches may become loose or break due to physical impact or mishandling.

Henry hoover switch
Would normally have assumed that we needed a new hoover. Thanks to the really helpful Ransom YouTube video and online info, we decided that it was worthwhile ordering a switch as it sounded very likely that it would do the job and it did! We feel a real sense of achievement having mended Henry ourselves but only did it thanks to Ransom.

my Henry vacuum, model No HVR200A's Hi/Lo switch is not illuminated, cannot be pressed down and there is no power when the green switch is turned on. By connecting the motor directly to the green on/off switch, the vacuum is functioning. Would I need to replace the Hi/Lo switch only or both this and the circuit board? Please advise.
