This "brush accessory" is actually the sealing piece that attaches to the footplate of the vacuum cleaner to improve suction and scrape up some of the dust. I found that the original part, which actually was a short-haired brush, had detached from the mounting clips and had wrapped itself around the rotating brush. As it was mangled beyond repair I needed a replacement which was not easy to find. Fortunately Ransom Spares have assembly/parts diagrams for each vacuum cleaner and I was able to identify where the part fitted from the diagram and order one. The replacement is a length of moulded rubber so a bit different from the original, but it fitted in the mounting slot/clips easily enough and has stayed in place. It appears to improve the suction level compared to no seal.
