Zanussi Tumble Dryer Thermostat1258406105

Good part, seems expensive for what it is but still makes a very cheap repair for an otherwise good appliance. It was fitted to my Zanussi ZDE 26100W tumble dryer which had stopped warming the air. It sits inside the drum chamber on the front face of the machine above the door, held in by a plastic retainer bracket secured by 2 phillips screws. Very simple to fit without any dismantling.

After finding the problem via the internet and some logical test, (I am an ex electrician). I ordered the part rather than fork out for a new tumble dryer. However, before the part could arrive I had an accident and broke my leg! So three weeks later, after discharge from hospital and some further R & R. My wife and I decided to fit the the stat. After some tricky manoeuvring with the broken leg and mobile telephone we between us managed to fit the stat. And it worked! Brillient! Family team effort in a time of crisis and saving us about £130 for a new tumble dryer. Well done Ransom spares we can now dry our washing without having to hang it all over the house! Jeff Kelly
