Zanussi Tumble Dryer Door Catch1250070008

Our Zanussi Dryer is over 25 years old. So relieved (and surprised) to get a replacement door catch for such an old appliance. First class service and prompt delivery - thank you !

The part was as expected and arrived well packaged and in a few days. The problem wasn't with the service or the part, but when I tried to fit it myself it didn't work properly (the part is a replacement catch to hold the door closed.) I replaced the part but something was wrong - I think a spring might have popped out initially (which I found later) and unfortunately when my son tried he managed to drop the part inside the hole for the catch so i now have to order another one! Hopefully we will be able to fit this second one successfully.

I needed this replacement door catch after the tip of mine broke off. After months of propping heaving objects in front of my dryer door to keep it closed it was such a relief to find this part and replace it myself so easily and affordably. The part was the perfect fit and was easy to fit, although I did have trouble putting the spring that it fits into back in the correct position. I looked up some videos but they all seemed to be slightly different designs and its such a small part, it isn't clear to see. So I had to play around a little to get it right. My advice would be to take careful note of how the latch, spring, pin and handle all fit together (maybe take a close up photo) when removing the old/broken part. But overall, generally quick and easy to fit, even for someone not mechanically minded or handy like me.

Part was delivered to my home Germany within 1 week. Securely packed, price was good and delivery charges acceptable. Had some fun working out which way round to fit the spring. A small diagram with the part might have been useful. Many thanks for the great service.
